L ' Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers , better known as IEEE , recently approved as a standard wireless connection type Wi-Fi protocol 802.11r dedicated to moving data transmission without signal loss.
The "R" of the new protocol shows how in fact "roaming" and allow the transition from one access point to another of the same operator with a signal loss of only 50 milliseconds , almost imperceptible. This new standard will allow, in the cities covered by Wi-Fi network, the use of devices with wireless connectivity to be used in motion without signal loss.
standard 802.11r inherits 802.11n home by the recent increased coverage and cleaning of the signal, allowing you to use fewer antennas to extend connectivity in large areas such as parks and hotels. None of the devices currently on the market is compatible with standard 802.11r but is likely to be the first to use laptops and VoIP phones.
